Ways you can assist Caring Hearts Pregnancy Center in 2012

1.        Pray for us.  CHPC is a frontlines ministry working to point women in crisis to a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.  Our peer-counselors and staff share educational information with each client about parenting, adoption and the risks associated with abortion.  We never encourage or give information about where an abortion can be obtained.

2.       Invite us to speak to your Ladies Group, Sunday school class, Congregation, Youth Group or Church Leadership.  We would love to share more about the ministry with the community.

3.       Host a baby shower for the ministry to provide material needs like diapers, wipes, and baby items for our moms.

4.       Get involved in our HOPE Program by offering to teach a Bible study or a class related to pregnancy, parenting or life skills (examples:  budgeting, cooking, sewing, job skills, etc.)  Or you could simply share a short devotion at the start of a class and have the opportunity to invite clients to your church.

5.       “Bottles of Blessings” is another fundraiser that we do.  Baby bottles are supplied for your group.  You collect cash, checks or change in the bottles.  The tags on these bottles read “Your change changes lives”.  This is a great project for kids to be involved with!

6.       The second Saturday in October is the day of our Walk for Life events.   Make plans to join us on October 13th as we reflect on the wonderful work God is doing at Caring Hearts & look forward to what He has planned for the future.  2012 marks our 6th year anniversary in the community.  There will be testimonies from clients, music, food, a walk through town or around the park (you choose which one), a volleyball tournament, and a corn hole tournament.

7.       Volunteers are needed to assist with various projects throughout the year:

                A.  We need a person in every church who is willing to be our “voice”.  We’ll keep you posted on happenings, prayer requests, or needs via email or phone.  We’ll also supply you with materials to distribute or share with your congregation.

                B.  Peer-counselors are needed to meet and talk with our clients.  You will receive 21 hours of training before being allowed to interact with them.  Peer-counselors usually commit to volunteering one day per week for a set period of time (2 hours or more).

                C.  Our Maternity/Baby Boutique  “Lily’s Closet” is in need of helpers who are willing to sort, clean, and organize the clothes and baby items that we receive.

                D.  Newsletter Volunteers are needed to help us prepare our quarterly mailing.  This job will require about 3 hours or so per quarter to help us fold, stuff, and label bulk mailings.

                E.  Fundraising Committee members are needed to assist our Fundraising team with the planning and preparations for events like our Walk for Life.  The committee usually meets for breakfast once a month to plan from April until October.

                F.  Abstinence team members-  There is a tremendous need to reach young people in Alexander County with the message of sexual integrity.  We are working to put together a team who will help teach our Sexual Integrity program in churches, youth groups, adult groups and schools.

                G.  Tech team is needed to assist us in using technology to promote the ministry, reach youth, and keep our website/facebook current.

                H.  Post-abortion ministry- Volunteers are needed to assist in teaching our “Forgiven and Set Free” program to women and men who have experienced an abortion.  Training is required.

                I.  Loss ministry- Volunteers are needed to assist with ministering to those clients/families who experience a miscarriage or infant loss.

8.        There is a need to update our two counseling rooms.  If you or your group would be interested in helping us to re-decorate one or both of these spaces please let us know.

9.       We have a need for a functional, very small kitchen area.  This job would involve some plumbing and cabinet building.

10.   One of our greatest needs is for faithful financial support.  You can donate from this website by clicking the Donate Now tab in the sidebar.

If our budget was met……….

……….we could utilize time spent on fundraising…….                                                                                                       ……….to develop greater mentorship opportunities,

……….to develop programs for single moms and teen moms,

                                ……….to develop programs for fathers,

                                ……….to expand our parenting programs,

                                ……….to expand our abstinence program,

……….to expand our post-abortion ministry and our loss ministry,

……….and most importantly we could spend more time teaching our clients from                                                                       the Word of God!

Please pray about how you can help in 2012!
